![]() ![]() It snows here, we have many ski resorts that surround the Northern area. Visiting New Mexico in May - If you are not familiar with Northern New Mexico then you would not know that we are at 7,000 Ft. Sure do appreciate your business and hope to see you again on your next visit. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review of your Join In Wine Tour. This isn’t the tours fault but it would be nice to gain a little more knowledge about the New Mexico Wine. My only negative comment would be that I would have liked a little more information at each winery about the history, their techniques and so on, the visits to the wineries I felt were heavily angled towards selling rather learning. We had ample time to sample a wide range of wines at each vineyard and the last two stops we had extra time to then enjoy a glass or two of our favourites, the first with lunch and then as our final farewell drink before hopping back on the bus to a little gift from Cindy.Ĭindy can cook and she even laid out a fresh platter of cheese, fruit and nibbles at the first winery for us to enjoy with the wine which was amply, never mind the amazing, delicious, ginormous lunch which she had prepared fresh for us to enjoy. We had a great day on our wine tour with a fab group of people, even with the unseasonably cool weather for May in New Mexico visiting Black Mesa, Vivac, and La Chiripada wineries. If you want to visit wineries, hire a cab or Uber driver. I travel in places where the culture is not as type A as is the United States, but I've never encountered such a disorganized, irresponsible vendor. When I did cancel it, she said, "You're going to miss everything. We rented a car (for $57) and had a great time driving around. Thank goodness we cancelled the Taos trip. We just wanted her to go away so we could forget.ħ. We had to cancel our dinner reservation because we had (finally) eaten lunch at 4:00. We were too upset and sick to drink any more. We finally told her to take us back to the hotel before the last winery. I came back from using the restroom to find my friend running her credit card, while Cindy sat and watched.Ħ. She promised to make up everything to us by buying the first tasting (implying that she, in fact, knew she had made a series of mistakes). Cindy gave her a look of disdain, as if refusing to drink on an empty stomach at 5,000 feet was stubborn.ĥ. One person declined to order any wine, saying she was too hungry to drink. Most people were so hungry they couldn't drink any more. She blamed everything but her own disorganization on this. She acted like we were being augmentative.Ĥ. We had been there 24 hours, and we knew where it was. She blamed the way the roads are designed in Santa Fe. She got lost getting from where she eventually (after four phone calls) picked us up to our hotel, where one of our party was waiting. She blamed the email on her booking agent.ģ. She was 45 minutes late to pick us up and then said, "Well, the first winery doesn't open until noon." I pointed out that HER email gave the starting time, and we were standing in front of our hotel waiting. She blamed me for not being patient or trusting.Ģ. Getting my money back for a second day was met with arguing, and then it took two weeks to transact, by which time my bank was involved. Just reserving with this vendor tried my patience to its breaking point.
